The Statistics department of Rajshahi University has celebrated its 50 years by organising the 2nd alumni re-union amid festivity on the campus.
Economic affairs adviser to the PM Dr. Mashiur Rahman attended the function as chief guest the programme was held at the Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium of the University.
The chief guest along with vice-chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad. Mizanuddin inaugurated the event At Shabash Bangla spot of the University by releasing balloons, Pigeon and hoisting the department flag.
University pro-vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan, Samar Paul, member of the Public Service Commission (PSC) of the Government, and chairman of the department Dr. Md. Shohrab Uddin among others were present at the program.
The program includes staging Rally at the Campus, Statistical Exhibition and Cultural function and many others. – RU Correspondent
