The students of Rajshahi University (RU) staged a demonstration protesting killing of Sohagi Jahan Tonu, a 3rd year student of history department and cultural activist of Comilla Victoria College, murdered by unidentified miscreants and demanding exemplary punishment of the killers in front of the university Central Library for an hour around 11am yesterday.Directed by Prosenjit Kumar, a student of RU Finance department, Public Administration department assistance teacher Mst Subra Chawdhry, Law department student Jannat, English department student Shammi Akter, among others, spoke in the program where more than hundred students from various departments participated.
They urged to the government for a neutral investigation and to take proper actions against the miscreant who involved under the murder.
They also questions to government about the security of women across the country.
