Rajshahi – New way of producing golden fibre has been invented by a scholar of Pharmacy department of Rajshahi University (RU) Professor Dr Md. Anwarul Islam.The discovered fibre is very smooth and longer lasting and brighter than the fibre that is produced from the jute. The garments to be produced from this fibre will be more fulgent.
This fibre is found in a plant that can be cultivated comparatively in less service and less cost.
Md. Anwar won’t disclose the plant’s name as his research work is undergoing.
More Academic research are needed to make this fibre worth of using, informed Md. Anwar Besides research work sufficient fund is also needed. If this fibre commercially produced it will be hugely used in textile and readymade industry.
Professor Anwarul Islam is told to Greenwatchbd he has found this fibre from this plant in a research work that are being continued from 3 years. This plant is specially found bushes. It can be used in every case of producing apparels as fibre that is produced from the jute.
It will bring a revolutionary change to the industries sector if I can finish my research work successfully. Bangladesh will be able to earn foreign currency by exporting it. I termed this fibre as R K fibre, Said Professor Anwar.
To finish the research work successfully proper patronization is needed from the government.
Professor Dr. Anwarul Islam is the former Dean of Science Faculty of the Rajshahi University. He is the member of Bangladesh Pharmacy Council and Cheif of Economic director of Pharmaceutical Journal. He is involved in an anti-cancer research work under the American University. – RU Correspondent
