Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Mega arrives

UK MOBILE OPERATOR Three started selling the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Mega smartphones on Monday, priced from £26 and £33 a month, respectively. The Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Mega are both mid-range Samsung smartphones, but they probably couldn’t be more different if they tried, touting 4.3in and 6.3in screens, respectively.
They are different when it comes to price too, with the Galaxy S4 Mini unsurprisingly the cheaper of the two. Available online today, and in-store from 2 July, the handset is available on a Three contract from £26 a month. This includes a free handset, 100 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited monthly data. The Galaxy S4 Mini is also available at Three on pay as you go, priced at £349.99.
Despite being billed as a cheap alternative to the Galaxy Note, the Galaxy Mega smartphone features top-end pricing. It’s available for free on a £33 contract, complete with 500 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited monthly data, or on pay as you go for £449.99.
It might be pricey, but the Galaxy Mega features a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system, an 8MP camera, 8GB of internal storage expandable to 64GB and a 3,200mAh battery.
Despite its size difference, the Galaxy S4 Mini features the same dual-core 1.7GHz processor, the same amount of storage, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and a smaller 1,900mAh battery.
Three also revealed last week that it plans to sell the Sony Xperia Tablet Z and Xperia M smartphone, although there’s no word on pricing or availability yet.
