Robbers looted valuables from a house after injuring its four inmates at Ghoshpara in the district town early Tuesday.
Officer-in-charge Golam Rahman of Sadar Police Station said a gang of armed robbers swooped on the house of businessman Ashok Ghosh at the village by breaking the main gate at about 3:00 am.
They looted 12 tolas of gold ornaments, Tk 50,000 cash, mobile phone set and other valuables after keeping the house inmates hostage at gunpoint.Being resisted, the handlooms stabbed Ashok Ghosh, his wife, his mother and son indiscriminately, leaving them injured.They were rushed to sadar hospital.UNB, Satkhira
