Save Suderbans not only verbally but also by taking actions immediately. Not very long ago, Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina urged the world leaders to save tigers in order to save nature from the 2nd Global tiger stocktaking conference held at Sonargoan Hotel in Dhaka. She also said that tigers save the Sunderbans and the Sunderban save Bangladesh.Recently, an oil tanker sank in the Shela River and spilled oil over more than 60 kilometers stretch of the rivers in the Sunderbans which threatens Bengal tigers, largest reserves in the world along with other animals in the fragile mangrove forest. But we did not hear any strong voices from the government or the members from the cabinet regarding save the Sunderbans.
The government is also going to build a thermal Power Plant at Rampal near the Sunderbans that environmentalists say, will also destroy the Sunderbans. So, please scrap plan for power plant from near Sunderbans and take all measures to minimise damages caused by the oil spill.
Please take all measures immediately to save Sunderbans.
