Sazzad Hossain Shahin and FHM Humayan Kabir have been reelected president and
general secretary of the executive committee of Journalism Alumni forum of Rajshahi
University (JAFRU), an association of former students of Mass Communication and
Journalism department of Rajshahi University.
The election of the two year tenure body was held on Friday night at the Daily Star
Centre in Dhaka.
Other office-bearers are: Vice Presidents Ruhul Q. Sumon and Golam Mortuza, Joint
Secretary Ferdous Mobarak, Organising Secretary Khairul Alam, Finance Secretary
Jahangir Alom Moni, HR and Admin Secretary Mamun Abdul Kaioum, Communication
and Development Secretary Anisuzzaman Ujjal, Sports and Cultural Secretary Salauddin
Ahmed Murad, Women Affairs Secretary Ainud Sony.
The three executive members are Din Mohammad Shibli, Mahmudul Haque Chotik,
Mahfuz Mishu and Yasir Arafat Emon.
The executive committee has decided to arrange family reunion within short time aiming
to strengthen bond among alumni of Rajshahi University Mass Communication and
Journalism department.
The executive committee will form an advisory body of the forum including the
department teachers soon.
