A schoolboy was crushed under the wheels of a truck at Fakir More in
Bera upazila on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Aritya,12, a student of class VI at
Al-Hera Academy and son of Hafijul Haque of Sanyalpara of the upazila.
Jahangir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Bera Police Station, said a
speeding truck ran over Aritya at about 7:30am while he was crossing
the road, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a local
hospital morgue for autopsy.
Local people caught the truck but its driver managed to flee the scene.
Police also seized the truck.
A case was filed in this connection.
