A schoolgirl was killed as a covered van crushed down her near Bagur Bus Terminal on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Chandina upazila on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Tanni, 8, daughter of Khokon, a resident of Bagur village in the upazila.Hasan, sergeant of Highway Police, said a Dhaka-bound rashly driven covered van knocked Tanni down in the area at about 10:00 am when she was returning home after school, leaving her dead on the spot.Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Comilla
