A schoolteacher was killed in a road accident in Kola Bazar area of Kaliganj upazila on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Mehedi Hasan Milton, 30, an assistant teacher of Kola United High School and son of Abdul Khaleque, former chairman of Kol union of the upazila.Police said the accident took place when a shallow engine-run human hauler overturned in the area around 6:00pm on Monday, leaving its passenger Milton severely injured.He was admitted to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex.Later in the night, he was shifted to Jessore Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead around 10:00pm. -UNB
