Mymensingh – A science workshop and competition were held on Friday at the Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh on the occasion of Madame Curie birth anniversary.The ‘Biggan Charcha Kandro’, an organization of the university organised the programme at Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin auditorium. In the program, a documentary was presented on Madame Curie’s ‘life and a quiz competition held on the same.
About 3 scientific workshops and 10 science projects were exhibited on space science, mathematics and Rubik’s cube topics.
More than 600 students from 20 different schools and colleges of Mymensingh division participated in the competition.
Pro-VC Prof Dr Md Jasimuddin Khan attended the program as a chief guest while Student Affairs Adviser Prof Dr S D Chowdhury, principal of Muminunnesa Women’s College Md Mozahar Hossain was a special guest. Associate Prof of Rural Sociology department Prof Dr Kazi Sheikh Farid presided over the programme. – BAU Correspondent
