Students of Secondary School Certificate Examination of 2015 and 2016
batches protesting introduction of creative (srijonshil) type of
curriculum in mathematics took out a procession and held a rally at
Barisal Zilla School campus on Saturday afternoon after school hours.
Redwan Chowdhury, Mahi, Masfiq, Tanvir Ahmed Ayon, Rifat Hasan,
students of Barisal Government Zilla School, on behalf of the
participants addressing the rally in front of the school, said not
only the students, but also the mathematics teachers are yet to be
habituated and trained in the creative system of curriculum.
It created panic among the students about failure or getting poor
results in mathematics in SSC level, they added.
So creative system in mathematics should be introduced after 2017 or
2018 batches giving more time to be familiar with the system from the
junior level of education and getting sufficient number of trained
mathematics teachers to teach that, the participants said -Our
