A seminar on ‘Islamic Economics and Banking’ organised by Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) was held here on Tuesday marking the opening of its new branch in Kamal Tower at Sachar Bazar in the district.Presided over by IBBL managing director Mohammad Abdul Mannan, the seminar was addressed, among others, by the member of bank’s Shariah supervisory committee Dr Monzur-e-Elahi, head muhaddis of Nischintapur Alia Madrasha Maulana Mohammad Nuruzamman and Chittagong University’s teacher Prof Dr Atikur Rahman.
