Dhaka, June 10 – President of Bikolpo Dhara Bangladesh AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Sunday urged the government to send BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to London for ensuring her best medical treatment as she might have suffered a mild stroke.“Khaleda Zia’s physicians said she was unconscious for about seven minutes. If it’s true, she has definitely suffered Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA),” he said.
Speaking at an iftar party, the BDB chief said such patient may suffer a stroke or get paralysed in the future. “So, she (Khaleda) needs to receive treatment from one of the best neurological centres of the world.”
Bangladesh Jano Dal arranged the iftar party at Shishu Kalyan Parishad Auditorium in the city.
B Chowdhury, a noted physician and former president, said, “Khaleda should get proper treatment considering her social and political status as she was a three-time Prime Minister and two-time Opposition Leader.”
“I think she needs to receive treatment at London’s Institute of Neurology or Hammersmith Hospital,” he further said.
The former president said though Khaleda immensely misbehaved with him in the past, he is still talking in favour of her for the sake of democracy and humanity. – UNB
