Shajal to appear in ‘Chhoto Kaku’ TV series of Afzal in Eid

Popular actor Abdun Noor Shajal will appear in a lead role in the new installment of ‘Chhoto Kaku’, a popular TV series based on the Faridur Reza Sagor’s story with the same title, during the upcoming Eid. Directed by seasoned actor-director Afzal Hossain, the latest episode titled ‘Khali Khali Noakhali’ will be aired on Channel i on eight consecutive days, starting from the day before Eid-ul-Azha. Shajal has portrayed the role of a movie villain named Akij Khan. The shooting of the TV series has already been completed recently.
Known for unique performances and devotion for acting, Shajal nowadays has become selective about working in the TV dramas with wonderful stories and challenging characters. According to Shajal, Akij Khan is such a character he usually prefers to play.
Shajal said about working under Afzal Hossain’s direction, “Afzal Hossain is like a father figure to me. Working under his direction always makes me feel that I am working at my own home. Everyone works with pleasure and cheerfulness in his projects.”
“I still feel the same pressure to perform under his direction which I felt for the first time while working as a model in a television commercial (TVC) directed by him so many years ago. But this is true that I love him so much and I can understand he feels it.” However, Shajal first came to the limelight as a model with a TVC directed by Afzal Hossain. Also, he earned admiration from the audience by working in Afzal Hossain-directed tele-drama.
