Siddikur ends Sarawak Championship on joint 30th

Dhaka – Bangladesh pioneering golfer Siddikur Rahman finished joint 30th in the US$300,000 Sarawak Championship after the final round at Damai Golf and Country Club course in Malaysia on Saturday.The two-time Asian Tour winner, Siddikur aggregated 10-under-par 278 [68-70- 71-69] from four rounds while John Catlin [USA] clinched his second Asian Tour title — after Asia-Pacific Classic in May, 2018 — in a thrilling final round with superb 22-under-par 226 [67-65-68-66].
The 27-year-old John Catlin [USA] held his nerve before rolling in a five-foot putt on the par-four 18th hole to edge his closest challengers Jazz Janewattananond [Thailand], Danthai Boonma [USA] and Paul Peterson [USA] by a single shot.
After dominating in the three successive days in the 3523-yard course, Paul Peterson shared the 2nd place with Jazz Janewattananond and Danthai Boonma, as all three aggregated matching 21-under-par 267.
Siddikur traded five birdies against two bogies in the final round to share his place with two other.UNB
