Singer Nobel shares second runner-up position at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

Indian satellite channel Zee Bangla’s music reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2018-19’ has ended. The final result was announced at 11pm in the night on July 28 according to Bangladeshi local time. Mainul Ahsan Nobel, the only Bangladeshi singer in the grand finale has been named as the second-runner up in the competition alongside Pacchim Bangla�s Pritam. The winner is Ankita Bhattacharya from Uttar Chabbish Pargana of Pacchim Bangla, India. She is a student of twelfth-grade and has won a car and two lac Indian rupee. The first runner-ups are Gaurav and Snigdhajit.
The grand finale ended with Nobel’s rendition of Prince Mahmud’s song voiced by James, ‘Bangladesh.’ At the beginning of the event he sang two more songs. The first is ‘Shei Tumi Keno Eto Ochena Hole’ by Ayub Bachchu and Pratul Mukherjee’s ‘Ami Banglay Gaan Gai.’ Born in Gopalganj, Nobel grew up in different districts of both Bangladesh and West Bengal, India and completed his matriculation from Kolkata. In Kolkata he developed his zeal for music before finally returning to Dhaka in 2014.
The final round included six participants and they are- Ankita, Gaurav, Nobel, Snigdhajit, Pritam and Sumon. Sumon has been awarded with the Kalika Prasad Memorial Award in the grand finale. The judges of the contest were Indian-Bengali musicians Shantanu Moitra, Srikanto Acharya and Monali Thakur.
In the Indian-Bengali contest seven Bangladeshi young and aspiring singers took part crossing the hurdles of the audition round. But among them only Nobel made it to the final six. From India 48 took part in the main contest after the audition round.
