Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Ferdous Ahmed Khan, Selima Khatun and M Mahbubul Haque Shakil have been appointed special assistants to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications in this regard on Tuesday. Of them, Sobhan and Ferdous will enjoy the facilities and status of a secretary while Selima, a former deputy secretary, and Shakil under grade-1 and grade-2 respectively. The appointments will remain valid until the Prime Minister’s tenure or change in the PM’s decision. – UNB
