Sri Lanka win the first ODI against England

Sri Lanka some how managed to beat England by 25 runs in the first ODI at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Winning the toss, England fielded first but Sri Lankan openers started well.
Their opening partnership of 120 runs and quick runs from middle and lower order batsmen gave Sri Lanka a big total of 317 for 6 wickets. England gave strong reply but most of their top order batsmen could not stay in the wicket for long and they kept loosing wickets, which cost them their match.Moeen Ali scored a brilliant century of 119 runs and Ravi Bopara scored 65 runs. Both these batsmen kept the English hopes alive but could not do so due to lack of partners. Sri Lanka recently lost to India by 5-0. – News Desk
