Trading on the country’s both bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – ended high on Monday. The DSE benchmark index DXEX gained 50.14 points to reach 4083.01 at the closing of the day’s trading. Of the 289 issues traded on the day, 186 advanced, 79 declined and 24 remained unchanged. Shares worth Tk 475.68 crore changed hands when the share trading closed at 2:35 pm. Similarly, the CSE key index CSCX, gained 75.80 points to reach 8017.89. The prices of 116 issues, out of total traded issues of 201, advanced while that of 64 suffered loss and 21 issues remained unchanged. The total value of traded issues was Tk 37.74 crore. Earlier in the morning, the key share price indexes at the country’s both bourses a witnessed a downtrend in the week’s second day of trading. The DSEX lost 19.19 points or 0.47 percent to reach 4014.57 points at 11:25 am. The CSCX lost 10.76 points to stand at 7931.32 points, also at 11:25 am today. (Source: UNB)
