Students burst into tears hearing Liberation War story

Students of Government Coronation Girls School in the city today burst into tears when they heard the history of brutal killing, gang rape, arson and torture against the Bengalese by the Pakistani occupation forces and their local collaborators during the Liberation War in 1971.
Freedom Fighters were telling their hardship and fighting in a gathering of students from class three to class ten at the school premises with a slogan ‘Esho Muktijudder Galpo Shuni.”Headmaster of the School Md Edris Ali Azizi presided over the function while Director of Khulna Zonal Secondary and Higher Secondary Directorate Professor ATM Zakir Hossain addressed as the chief guest.
Commander of Khulna District Unit Muktijoddha Command Council Freedom Fighter Sardar Mahbubur Rahman, Assistant Commander of Khulna City Unit Freedom Fighter Mokbul Hossain Mintu narrated the history of Liberation War as the special guests.
They also elaborately depicted the story of different wars took place in Batiaghata, Paikgachha, Terokhada and Fultala upazila in Khulna district during the Liberation War in 1971.
Sumona Hossain, a nine grade student told BSS, I have heard different story of Liberation War from our grandfather and grandmother.
“My eyes were full with tears and my heart becomes shocked by hearing the story from the freedom fighters,” she said.
While talking to BSS, a class seven student Sharmili Yasmin said, I never heard the real history of Liberation War from the freedom fighter.
“I love freedom fighters and will always hate Pakistani collaborators,militants and anti Liberation force till my death, she added, reports BSS, Khulna.
