Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a suspected woman
phensidyl peddler along with 112 bottles of the Indian intoxicating
banned syrup from a bus in the town on Monday.
The arrested person was identified as Liza Akhter alia Liza,27, a
resident of Jagdal village of Sadar upazila.
Being tipped off, a team of Rab-5 conducted a drive in the area around
10am and recovered the phensidyl bottles from a stationary bus of
‘Keya Paribahan’ in front of Shaheed Dr. Abul Kashem ground in the
town.
Later, the elite force members arrested Liza from the spot. -UNB, Joypurhat
