Sylhet – A student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) drowned in a pond on the campus here on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Niloy Mohammad Azam, a student of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the university and son of M Abul Bashar of Comilla district,UNB News Agency Reported.
Acting proctor of the university Dr Rashedul Talukder said Niloy drowned while taking bath in the pond along with his friends.Later, Niloy’s friends rescued him and took him to Ragib Rabeya Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.The body was sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue,said the proctor.
