Kurugram, July 11 – After showing slight improvement last week, flood situation has deteriorated again in Kurigram and Nilphamari districts as Brahmaputra, Dharla and Teesta rivers are flowing above the danger level.
The water level of the Teesta River in Nilphamari is flowing above the danger level following heavy rainfall and onrush water from upstream.
Five bank officials have found infected with coronavirus in the district, taking the confirmed cases of Covid-19 into 21.
Twenty houses were put under lockdown as a young man found infected with coronavirus at Khalisha Bakshibari in Syedpur upazila on Thursday.
