Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank (BB) SK Sur Chowdhury distributed cheques of about Taka one crore as agriculture loan among 109 male and female framers of Uttam area at a farmers’ rally here on Friday.
He distributed the cheques at the farmers’ rally organised by Uttam Manohar Integrated Crop Management (ICM) Farmers’ Club at Uttam Manohar High School ground as the chief guest with President of the ICM Farmers’ Club Tauhidul Islam Tuhin in the chair.General Manager (GM) of the Agriculture Loan and Financial Services Division of BB Prabhash Chandra Mollik, its GM of the Green Banking and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Division Abul Mansur Ahmed, GM of its Rangpur Branch Bazlar Rahman Mollah, expatriate businessman Hasanuzzaman and city unit General Secretary of Awami League Tushar Kanti Mandal attended the ceremony as the special guests.A large number of male and female farmers of the area, officials of
Rangpur Branch of the Mercantile Bank Limited, leaders of different political parties, civil society members, local community leaders, public representatives, professionals and elite were present.A total of seventeen local branches of different commercial banks of Rangpur contributed to the agriculture loan distribution amounting to nearly Taka one crore among the farmers on the occasion.The BB Deputy Governor said the central bank has been ensuring distribution of agriculture loan among the farmers in a hassle-free manner through providing necessary policies to all public and private
