A tea stall owner was slaughtered to death by miscreants at Sonakura village in Rampal upazila early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Harun Sheikh, 45, son of late Abdus Sattar Sheikh of the village.Officer-in-charge of Rampal Police Station Kazi Daud Hossain said Harun came under attack by a group of miscreants while he was sleeping in his shop on Sunday midnight.The attackers chopped him with sharp weapons and later slaughtered him, leaving him dead on the spot.On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.None was arrested in this connection.The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately. -UNB
