Dhaka – Shammo Krira and Sangskritik Gosthi defeated Apollo Eleven by 34 runs in the opener of the Thakurgaon 1st Division Cricket League at Shaheed Mohammad Ali Stadium on Monday.Batting first after winning the toss, Sammo KSG scored 188 in 50 overs and restricted Apollo Eleven on 154 in 44.4 overs.Winning team cricketer Foysal was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance as he scored 40 runs and with ball he captured three wickets.A total of 12 teams are taking part in the league, which inaugurated by the Thakurgaon District Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Jahurul Islam.UNB news agency
