Three day labourers were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a human hauler (Nasimon) at Jaigirhat Pakapul on the Rangpur-Bogra highway in Mithapukur upazila on Tuesday night.Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Witnesses said the Dhaka-bound ‘Taj Paribahan’ bus from Thakurgaon collided head-on with a wood-laden Nasimon in the area around 11.30pm, leaving three laborers on the human hauler dead on the spot.Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.Humayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Mithapukur Police Station, confirmed the incident.
