Dhaka – Three booters of Dhaka Abahani Limited ruled out of the ongoing TVS 31st Federation Cup Football Tournament after a High Court directive.
According to the HC directive, three booters — defender Raihan Hasan, two midfielders Sohel Rana and Md Sohel Rana — are not permitted to play for any club except Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra.
Bangladesh Football Federation Manager (Competition) Jaber Bin Taher Ansari said, “High Court says they will not play for any clubs except Sheikh Russel KC. They have to wait for the next directives from High Court.”
Raihan and Sohel Rana played for Dhaka Abahani in the last season while Mohammad Sohel Rana played for Sheikh Russel KC.
Earlier, Sheikh Russel KC brought accusation and appealed to the lower court against these three booters of taking money from them before joining Dhaka Abahani.
The lower court rejected Sheikh Russel’s prayers for the remedies, but the Sylhet based outfit moved to the High Court.
Holders Dhaka Abahani Ltd started their campaign in the ongoing meet beating newcomers Bangladesh Police Football Club by 4-0 goals in the opening match.
The Dhanmondi based outfit will play against Arambagh KS in their last Group A match on Thursday at 4 pm.UNB
