Three held, arms, heroin recovered in C’nawabganj

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered a foreign made pistol, a magazine, seven bullets and 400 grams of heroin and arrested three persons in two separate drives on Monday. The arrested persons were identified as Md. Rubel, 28, son of Md. Aktarul Islam of Modhyabinodpur Garatola village under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district, Md. Abdur Rashid, 30, son of Md. Jamal Uddin of Saguanghunti village and Md. Tayeb Ali, 28, son of Md. Ekramul Hoque of the same village both under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district.
RAB said, acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided at Joithabattala village under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district around 2:15 pm and arrested Md. Abdur Rashid and Md. Tayeb Ali with 400 grams of heroin from their possession.
In another dive, acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided in the area near Madhya Binodpur Government Primary School in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district around 9:35 pm and arrested alleged arms peddler Md. Rubel with a foreign made pistol, a
magazine and seven bullets from his possession.
