Chapainawabganj, Oct 19 (UNB) – A mobile court here on Saturday sentenced three individuals after a drive to prevent them from marrying off under-aged children.
Groom’s father Md Shaheen Alam and bride’s father Fazal Ali were detained by police.Fake marriage registrar Mamun-Or-Rashid, who officiated the marriage, was also detained.
A mobile court drive with a magistrate later sent the fake registrar to jail for 2 years, while the fathers each got sentenced to a year in jail.
