Three suffer burn injuries in Dhaka home gas explosion

Dhaka – Three female domestic helps sustained burn injuries in a gas explosion at an apartment in the city’s Gulshan area on Monday morning.
The injured are: Parvin, 37, Bedena, 20, and Sharifa, 18.Sub-inspector Bacchu Miah, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police camp, said a gas stove exploded when one of them was trying to lit the stove for making breakfast in the flat of ‘Navan Tower’ in the area around 6.30am, leaving trio burn-injured.
Later, locals whisked them off to DMCH.
Parvin is ailing with 20 percent burn injuries while Bedana and Sharifa with 90 and 100 percent respectively. – UNB
