Four persons were killed by a thunderbolt at Namajgram-Pachua Baor (swamp) in
Sharsha upazila here on Sunday noon.
The deceased were identified as Saddam Hossain, 24, son of Bhutto, Tuhin, 20, son of
Billal Hossain, Emran Hossain, 16, son of Jabbar of Raghunathpur village and Matiar
Rahman, 45, son of Mofizul Islam of Sarbanhuda village under the upazila.
Police said the four were catching fish in the swamp when the thunderbolt hit them. They
died on the spot.
Officer in charge of Sharsha police station Mizanur Rahman confirmed the incident. –
