Dhaka – Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hasan Papon on Saturday expressed his strong belief that Tigers’ can defeat any team of the world in all three formats of cricket.
“Bangladesh can beat any team of the world in Test, one day and T20 cricket,” the BCB boss said at the inaugural ceremony of Late President Zillur Rahman 1st Division Cricket League at Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Stadium in Kishoreganj.
“Bangladesh secured victory in their 100th Test match in the month of independence a year back against Sri Lanka in a heroic fight,” Papon recalled.
Tigers sealed their maiden win against Sri Lanka in Test cricket by four wickets at P Sara Oval in Colombo in March 2017.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kishoreganj Tarafder Md Akter Jamil and also the convener of the league committee chaired the occasion.
A total of 16 teams, split in four groups, are taking part in the Kishoreganj 1st Division Cricket League.UNB
