Titu elected 24th DSE president

In a major development in the country’s stock market, Ahsanul Islam Titu was elected as the 24th president of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Saturday.M Shahjahan was also elected as senior vice president and Mizanur Rahaman Khan vice president of the leading bourse for the next six months.
The disclosure came from a meeting of the DSE board of directors at a city hotel.
Ahsanul Islam Titu, newly elected president also serving as Managing Director of Shandhani Life Insurance, Chairman of Mona Financial Consultancy. He also served as vice president of Bangladesh Insurance Association.
Titu was also elected as vice president of DSE in 2000 and senior vice president in 2010.
The DSE board comprised of 25 members. Of them 12 are to be elected, 12 are nominated and one is ex-officio. (Source: banglanews24.com)
