Armed robbers looted Tk. 2.33 lakh from Bangladesh Krishi Bank Bakshiganj branch here by breaking
open the volt of the bank on Wednesday midnight.
Police and bank sources said a gang of dacoits entered the bank by cutting the grill of a window and
looted away the money.
Manager of the bank Ekram Khan Babu, officials and employees of the branch found the volt broken
as they came to office at 9.00am on Thursday.
Manger of the bank said night guard of the branch Rafiqul Islam is now in police custody. Police are
interrogating him.
A case was recorded with the concerned police station in this connection. –BSS, Jamalpur
