A girl was killed by train crash at Malson area near Shantahar rail station under Adamdhigi upazila of Bogra district at 9 am on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Momotaz Khatun, 15, daughter of Mohammad Ali Bhutta of Kazipur area under Shantahar municipality area of the upazila.
Government Railway Police (GRP) sources told that the deceased was walking on the rail-route near the station and meanwhile Chilahati-bound Titumir Express (734 down) from Rajshahi crashed her and she died in the spot.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shantahar GRP Sariful Islam confirmed the news and told that the dead body was recovered and handed her over to the victim’s family on Sunday noon.
An unnatural death (UD) was filed with the GRP police station on Sunday noon, added the GRP OC.
