A man was crushed to death under the wheels of a train at Masimpur in Sadar upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Marfat Lai, 55, of Langoljora village.
Police said the accident took place in the area when Dhaka-bound intercity ‘Brahmaputra Express’ train from Dewanganj hit Marfat while crossing the rail tracks, leaving him dead on the spot.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Jamalpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy. -UNB, Jamalpur
