A three-day training for the elected people’s representatives of
Sadullapur upazila in the district ended on Friday.
SKS Foundation, a local non-government organization, arranged the
function at its training center at Radhakrishnapur area of Sadar
upazila under strengthening Democratic Local Governance project funded
by USAID.
The participants were imparted training on different issues including
activities of the upazila and union parishad, duties of the parishad
members, monitoring, audit, budget meeting, revenue income enhancement
and adopting strategies to run the parishad successfully.
The training sessions were conducted by project coordinator Ismail
Hossain and assistant project coordinators Bikash Kumar Biswas and Abu
Sayeed.
Sadullapur Upazila Parishad chairman SM Khademul Islam Khudi, female
vice chairman Aktar Banu Lucky and all the 11 UP chairmen and members
of the upazila participated in the training.
Earlier, executive chief of SKS Foundation Rasel Ahmed Liton formally
inaugurated the training on Wednesday morning.
