A trawler laden with cut banned Sundari wood of Sundarban forest was seized by the forest department from the river Dratan that flows by the side of Bagerhat district town on the night of Sunday.It is learnt from Amir Hossain Chowdhury, DFO (Dvisional Forest Officer) of the Eastern Division of Sundarban forest that at the night the trawler laden with 16 pieces Sundari log wood collided with a fishing trawler in the river and consequently it sank in the river. At that time its crew and others boarded on it (trawler) fled away. Being informed of the matter the freest officials rushed to the spot and recovered the same. –Our Correspondent, Bagerhat
