A man and his eight-year-old son were killed and six others injured in a road accident on the Shailakupa-Hatfazilpur road at Bhandripara in Shailakupa upazila on Monday.The deceased were identified as Bhavesh Odikari of the village, 35, and his son Anik Kumar, a student of class-III of a local primary school.Officer-in-charge of Shailkupa Police Station Anwar Hossain said the accident occurred on the road around 10.00am when a speeding microbus ran over Bhavesh and Anik and fell into a roadside ditch while he was taking his son to school.Anik was killed on the spot while Bhavesh and six other passengers of the vehicle were injured.Later, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to Shailkupa Upazila Health Complex.The rest six were admitted to the hospital in critical condition.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Jhenidah
