Dhaka – A man was killed as a tree collapsed on him at Dhankunthi Kumarpara village of Tarash upazila of Sirajganj district, about 150 kilometers north of here on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Jahirul Islam, 36, son of Mohammas Wahed Ali, resident of the village.
Police said Jahirul was cutting a eucalyptus tree in the house of local Ishaq Ali at the village around 5pm.
At one stage, the tree collapsed on him before he went to a safe distance, leaving him dead on the spot.
A case was filed in this connection. – UNB
