Thakurgaon Sugar Mills (TSM), a state owned enterprise, has produced 1,230 tonnes of sugar so far by crushing 21,740 tonnes of sugarcanes during the current season starting on December 19.The mill has set a target to produce 5,800 tonnes of sugar by crushing about 80,000 tonnes of sugarcane during the season.But the production target may not be achieved due to illegal production of molasses in the mill area and short supply of sugarcanes, the mill sources said. -BSS Thakurgaon
