Dhaka – A mother gave birth to a pair of babies with both legs of one them joined together at Shahzadpur Upazila Health Complex here in Sirajganj on Monday.After sometimes of their birth through caesarean section, the baby with the joined legs died, said Masud Rana, medical officer of health complex.
Lovely Khatun, 22, wife of Yunus Ali of Potazia village in the upazila, came to the health complex with labor pain, the doctor said.
However, the gender of the baby could not be known as the lower part of the baby from waist was joined together and it looked like a half-snake, he said.
People from different parts of the district thronged the hospital premises to see the baby, creating curiosity among the people.UNB
