Two abductors held in Rajshahi

Local people caught two abductors from Mundumala Bazaar area under
Tanore thana during their bid to abduct a madrasha student around
12-00 noon on Sunday.
Two more members of the gang managed to escape. Both the abductors
were handed over to police after mass beating.
The arrested abductors have been identified as Mohammad Selim Reza and
Mofiz Uddin of village Jaigirpara under Chapainawabganj district.
According to sources, on Sunday noon, four members of abductors
abducted Shahabuddin (16) son of ward councillor Omar Ali on a
motorcycle from Pachandar Thamtola crossing area.
The abductors forced Shahabddin to ride on a motorcycle and when they
were crossing Mundumala Bazaar then Shahabuddin raised an alarm.
Hearing the cry, people at the Bazaar chased the abductors and caught
two abductors and rescued Shahabuddin. Yje members of the mob gave
mass beating to the abductors before handing them to police.
However, two other abductors, Babu and Matiur managed to escape.
Omar Ali, father of abducted student informed, there was a rivalry
with the abductors on a land related dispute and the abductors might
have tried to abduct his son in that connection. He said, he would
file a case in this connection.
Abdul Majid, In-charge of Mondumala police Investigation Centre
informed, mob caught two abductors while they attempted to abduct a
madrasha student. They have admitted that they attempted to abduct the
