Repression Prevention Tribunal-2 Md. Mafizur Rahman Bhuyan sentenced
two persons to death for killing a woman in Manikganj.
The Court handed down the verdict to Santash and his brother Afsar of
Gokulnagar village of Manikganj Sadar upazila in presence of them. The
hearing the case was held on May 22 in 2013. Total 13 witnesses were
examined during the prosecution.
According to prosecution, Santash beat up mercilessly his wife Mazeda
Begum with the help of his brother Afsar on 11 June in 2007 for dowry.
Victim’s brother Manik Mia lodged a murder case with Manikganj Sadar
Police Station against the two persons.
