Provost of Shaheed Jamal Hossain Hall of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) served show cause notice to two workers of the hall on account of theft in the hall.The hall administration on Sunday served show cause notice to hall guard SM Selim Miah and Maksudul Karim and asked them to reply within the next seven working days.
On Friday dawn, a laptop and a mobile phone of Sazzad Mahmud Rifat, a first year student of the Engineering faculty of BAU, has been stolen from the room no-19 of Shaheed Jamal Hossain Hall.
The victim later informed it to the hall provost and also issued allegation to the Mymensingh Kotwali Thana police.
“Necessary steps would be taken after getting proper evidence of theft”, hall provost Prof Dr AKM Golam Sarwar said.
