Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested two young
men along with 20,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from Bangla Bazar in Sadar upazila on Saturday.
The arrested persons were identified as Abu Bakar, 18, son of Ashraf Ali, and
Mohammad Manik, son of Matiur Rahman. They hail from Musratkuma village of
Nilphamari district.
Tipped off, a team of Rab-7 conducted the drive in the area around 11.am and seized the
sex-stimulating tablet searching a Chittagong-bound truck and arrested
Abu Bakar and Ashraf, said Major Sarwar-e-Alam, in charge of Rab-7.
The elite force members handed over the arrestees to Cox’s Bazar Sadar
Model Police Station.
