Police in a drive arrested two persons and recovered a pistol; a USA made revolver, a magazine and five bullets from Birampur College crossing area here on Sunday evening.The arrested were Ziaur Rahman, 38, and Mamunur Rashid, 36, inhabitants of Rajibpur-Hatisal village under Nawabganj upazila of the district.On a tip-off, a team of police from Birampur thana conducted the drive in the area and arrested them with the firearms from a tea stall, said officer-in-charge Amiruzzaman.A case was filed in this connection.
