Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested two alleged members of
banded militant outfit Hijbut Tahrir from Andarkillah crossing under
city’s Kotwali thana on Friday.
The identity of the arrested could not be known immediately. A team of
Kotwali thana police arrested them while they were trying to hang a
banner and gather there without police
permission after Juma prayers.
As police intervened, the other members of the Hijbut managed to
escape from the spot.
